Groete Creek Gold Project

The Groete Creek project was explored by the Geological Survey of Guyana and the United Nations Mineral Survey Project between 1967-1968. Drilling identified a large gold/copper mineralized system. In the mid 1990’s, CAMDICO and  Caribbean Basic Industries (CBI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation, entered into a joint venture to explore and develop the project. Further drilling expanded and upgraded the known gold/copper zone.  Historical drilling results at Groete Creek have identified a large gold/copper mineralized system which remains open in three directions and to depth. With the rise in the gold price, sigficant surface mining by local artisinal ” pork-knockers ” has taken place across the three blocks which make up the Groete Creek Gold Project.

Georgetown West Gold Project

The adjacent Georgetown West, which borders Groete Creek on the east,  was explored in 1997. Work completed included extensive sampling and mapping and a ground survey. A gold in soil anomaly was identified and mapped for 2 kilometers in length and 500 meters in width, trending north/south. Like Groete Creek, significant mining activity at surface has been undertaken by local miners.

Groete Creek Gold Project Exploration Update 2011

A base camp was established in early 2011 at Groete Creek. Significant improvements to infrastructure, including the building of a 10 mile road has enhanced access. The Company located heavy equipment on the project and is currently conducting a First Phase, 3,000 meter confirmation drill program. The Company engaged P and E Mining Consultants Inc. of Ontario Canada to complete an updated NI 43-101 Technical Report based on the results of the current drill program
